2011 Spring Flower Sale

Spring is almost here!  Fairborn Marching Band & Color Guard will again be hosting the annual flower sale.  Flowers will be purchased through Stockslagers Garden Center.  We will be selling baskets of geraniums, begonias, impatiens, and wave petunias.  Flats of begonias, impatiens, marigolds, dusty miller, blue ageratum, and petunias will also be available.   

Cost:  $14.00/basket ($2.00 from each pre-sold item to student’s pass account.)
          $15.00/flat

About $2-$4 less expensive than most nurseries

Again this year, you can also sell vouchers at $9 ea (retail value $10).  The customer may go to Stocklager Greenhouse and Garden Center (14037 Eaton Pike) New Lebanon, Ohio and buy what they want.   The voucher is ideal for those who want to mix flats, or they want flowers that we don’t offer.   Stocklager has a large selection of annuals and perennials.  Vouchers are easy to deliver to the customer, and will be available when flower orders are picked up.  ( If I am notified prior to May 14, I can get vouchers earlier). 

Each pre-sold voucher will put $1 in the student’s pass account. 

Pick-up Date:  Sat. May 7th 1-2PM (day before Mother’s Day)

In front of the Fairborn Primary School (not the high school), if raining, pickup will be in the Primary School Cafeteria

Band members are responsible for picking up and delivering the flower orders, not the customer

Order forms are available at the March 8 Kickoff meeting and in the band room. Forms are also available on the Band web site.

Orders and money are due by Friday April 15th to Mr. Gorretta or Jeanne Myers.    Please put in a sealed envelope with student’s name and phone number.  Flowers will also be sold on the day of pick up to the public or if you need extra.  Flowers sold on this day will be general fund money only.
